Theia has formulated Leadership and Governance training to help Senior Leaders develop the attributes and awareness necessary to drive change through effective Programme and Project Governance. Research has shown that individuals are co-opted on to governance bodies and teams often with little or no training or experience. This has the potential to be damaging for the project and the individual concerned.
Our courses provide a unique insight into project failure and how to avoid it.
Our approach has its roots in Behavioural Science. Behavioural Science focuses on what people ‘say or do’ compared with Behavioural Psychology which focuses on what people ‘think or feel’. Objectively observing what people ‘say or do’ provides a reliable framework for managing behaviour in the project and governance environment.
At Theia we are agnostic about the framework or methodology you adopt or follow.
We will, however, work with you to create psychologically safe environments to maximise the effectiveness of your governance. We will also work with your people through our modular courses, Games Projects Play and Through the Looking Glass. They provide a memorable way of classifying patterns of behaviour, linking them to potential modes of failure and, hence, mitigating risk. Building on the communication skills of active listening, observation and comprehension, at the end of our courses your senior leaders will be better equipped to effectively deliver change.
Theia is theTitaness god of sight and the shining light of the clear blue sky. At Theia, we have designed our courses to be rich in content and illustrated with real examples. Our instructors have all been senior executives in either the Public or Private Sector (or both) and have first hand experience of Programme and Project governance. This is all we do and we are passionate about working with you to make a difference.
