One thing that a long management career has taught me is that each year Business Leaders, senior executives, team leaders, and project managers encounter some form of team dysfunction that requires satisfactory resolution to avoid or reduce project and business disruption.
Throughout my time as a senior business leader in such organisations as EDS, HP and Unisys I came to realise that knowing how to recognise and effectively resolve project dysfunction is skill that can be taught. Moreover, understanding the various forms of dysfunction and recognising the tell-tale signs is critical to helping alleviate unnecessary team disruption, loss of productivity and wasted benefit/value.
That was why I founded Theia Training. We have formulated Leadership and Governance training to help Senior Leaders develop the attributes and awareness necessary to drive effective change through successful projects. This is my passion.
Certified Agile Coach
Certified Scrum Master
My purpose is to inspire people to delight customers while finding joy in work. I believe coaching and mentoring are about building awareness. In my experience, the art of creating agile enterprise ecosystems requires developing a contagion of curiosity and experimentation. In this spirit, I relentlessly pursue excellence and harmony through deliberate practice in all aspects of life.
I’m trained as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, hold a PhD in Computer Science and serve as an Agile coach and mentor helping numerous organisations transform their thinking, organizational and action habits to achieve better outcomes, all while improving professional and personal satisfaction for everyone involved.
I get a buzz through working with people helping them to understand and implement how things can be different. I focus on the bigger picture, the key elements that support success – in particular effective governance - and help clarify the problem to be solved. I’m a ‘people person’ and enjoy motivating and empowering others to deliver better value to both internal and external customers. This can be through facilitating change, coaching and mentoring, leading teams, exposing people to different ways of thinking and opportunities, and/or using my networks to bring new insights, ideas or experiences. This organisational and people change is underpinned by effective governance.
